Coming out the closet?

Well, you might not even know him but John Amaechi (British/Nigerian), who played for five seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Utah Jazz and Orlando Magic, will become the first NBA player to publicly admit he's gay, according to a report on Outsports.com.

I am proud of him. I hope other black men who are gay/bi (isaiah) will follow and quit hiding in crowded closets. That's the only way homophobia in black communities will ever have any chance of decreasing. It will never die, true, but it would help attitudes a bit.
