It is all about being "green". Today is Earth Day. I searched around and no African organization is having an Earth Day event. Why is that? Africans care about the environment too...right?...so what can we do?

-When we actually have enough textbooks and materials in Government schools, we can begin to talk about recyling.
-When multinational oil companies no longer operate with impunity-maybe we can discuss the ecological biodiversity of our continent
-When the "middle class" and everything else below, can afford cars: maybe we can talk about saving petroleum.
-When mouths are fed: maybe earth day will be remembered in Africa
does the onus still not lie with Africans? this includes the leadership and citizens both back home and abroad.
or are africans as helpless as they are portrayed to be in the media?
i agree with you nigeriandramaqueen. i think at this point, we are just trying to prioritize.
